Induk Koperasi Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia (INKOWAPI) is an organization with a network of 50 branches and up to 30 million members throughout Indonesia. The organization supports small-scale women entrepreneurs through organizing cooperatives, which it emphasizes as an important boost for Indonesia’s economy. Based in East Jakarta, INKOWAPI offers training opportunities and improved access to credit, technology, and marketing opportunities. In particular, INKOWAPI targets new entrepreneurs with an aim to improve community welfare. Projects include running a microcredit program for participants of IWAPI’s training programs in cooperation with Danamon Bank. Training focuses on areas such as business and financial management.
