Local Resource Centre (LRC)
Following Cyclone Nargis in May 2008, GEN was established for the purpose of focusing on multi-sectoral and cross-cutting issues faced by women in cyclone-affected areas. The group consists of around 60 national and international NGOs, UN agencies, civil society networks and technical resource persons. Members are typically not-for-profit, non-political groups that share an interest in promoting women’s rights and gender equality. GEN coordinates information-sharing among groups that advocate on behalf of gender equality, facilitates capacity development and training activities, supports data collection and analysis, and engages in advocacy, communications and research. They sponsors a variety of informational and training activities and maintains an extensive database (chiefly in the Burmese language) of civil society organizations and NGOs that provide services or advocate for on behalf of women, children, ethnic minorities, and other shared interests.
K-Workers Development Initiatives (KDI)
K-workers Development Initiatives (KDI) aims to facilitate the current and future demands of industry-relevant talent by the local ICT industry, especially by MSC Malaysia status companies. Towards this end, KDI offers various programmes encompassing career awareness, skills training, industry attachments, curriculum alignment at Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) as well as demand-supply projection. In executing its programme, KDI works closely with relevant ministries and agencies to ensure sustainable, effective and successful implementation.

Association of Bumiputra Women Entrepreneur Network of Malaysia (WENA) Mentoring Program
WENA Mentoring Women For Global Businesses (WMW) is a program that aspires to support more Malaysian women entrepreneurs to take their products and services to the world. The WMW program aims to increase female participation in international trade and deliver greater economic benefit and job creation. To women entrepreneurs it offers a central source of information and resources, support and connection. The WMW is also a platform to address women’s concerns pertaining geographical, cultural and gender barriers.
