Young Women’s Leadership Connection (YWLC)

Launched in 2008, this network supports women leaders who are students. This is accomplished through mentorship, networking and community engagement activities.

Wonderful Wholesome Women (W3)

This Meetup group provides a platform for women at all professional levels to connect. The group targets stay-at-home moms, working professionals, and entrepreneurs. There are at least 430 participants in this group.

Women Mean Business

This Meetup group is a network for professional, executive, and entrepreneur women. It provides a forum for them to share information, experiences, ideas, and successes as well as build their network. At least 900 women have participated in this group and, as of 2015, the group has held more than 155 meetings.

International Council for Small Business (ICSB)

ICSB is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting management education for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Council members represent a range of sectors including education, finance, government, and industry. ICSB Singapore re-joined in 2011 with leadership representation from Nanyang Technological University. The ICSB Singapore chapter aims to provide networking opportunities for members and support their business development capacity. The ICSB Singapore chapter is an important source of information and networking center for overseas entrepreneurs looking to do business in Singapore.

PrimeTime

PrimeTime is a network for women looking professional contacts within an international environment. Activities include speakers, discussion groups, professional networking, and socializing opportunities. The group has 400 members, many of whom are expatriates. Members represent over 30 nationalities as well as a range of professional backgrounds including banking, communications, IT, and law. PrimeTime’s Entrepreneurs Group provides opportunities for networking, education, and knowledge-sharing around pertinent issues in the business environment.

Indian Women’s Association Singapore (IWA)

The Indian Women’s Association is a voluntary welfare organization open to women residing in Singapore who are of Indian origin or those who have married Indian men. IWA’s Entrepreneurs Club is open to women who operate their own business or aspire to do so in the near future. Activities include: speakers on pertinent topics including financial planning, balancing work and family, and practical tips; networking opportunities; and provision of information on relevant topics.

Singapore Business and Professional Women’s Association (SBPWA)

SBPWA helps working women in Singapore build their careers. SBPWA provides various platforms for women professionals to come together to network with national and international women’s associations on IT and financial issues. The association also offers learning opportunities, including training courses and seminars such as a workshop on “Bankable Leadership: The Power and Know-How to Create Fulfilled Teams & Exceptional Results” and an International Women’s Day Gala dinner. SBPWA’s website includes a public business directory which allows members to connect with one another and by potential business partners. SBPWA also includes specialized forums.

Federation of Business and Professional Women Singapore

Affiliated with the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International), BPW Singapore is comprised of the following clubs: Singapore Business and Professional Women’s Association, Singapore Business and Professional Women’s Association – Mandarin Chapter, and Business and Professional Women (Singapore) – all detailed below. The objectives of this Federation are to exchange advice, engage in leadership development, and facilitate networking. Membership fees are 120 SGD (approx. 95 USD) per year not including special events.

The Athena Network Singapore

Established in Singapore in 2012, the Athena Network Singapore helps women build their networks internationally and join an online community where information on business skills and contacts is available. Networking and business training are offered for women entrepreneurs who run small businesses, as well as professional women (mainly self-employed). The Athena Network is comprised of 2,000 community members and 200 paid members. The cost to participants is 500 SGD per year (400 USD).

The International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI) Singapore)

IWFCI is an international non-profit NGO established in 1992 to address the needs of business women. The federation focuses on opening up trade opportunities for women across the Asia Pacific region. IWFCI has offices in Singapore, China, USA, Korea, India, and Russia. To support trade efforts, IWFCI runs an online Business to Business (B2B) marketplace for women entrepreneurs. Through the marketplace, members can post information on items to sell, items to buy, contracts/tenders, partnerships/alliances, help & advice, discounts, and mentoring.
