eBunda is a portal for women that provides access to e-learning opportunities to build awareness on issues such as health, environment, business and finance, career, education, and affirmative action. Sponsored by BAG Networks, a technology company, the portal largely aims to target women who have taken a break from their careers to have children to support their continued learning. eBunda has worked with both Microsoft and Ikhlas to develop e-learning tools on the website. The Microsoft Digital Literacy Program provides basic, standard, and advanced information on IT and provides a “digital literacy” certification. eBunda also runs the eBunda Café which is a radio chatshow broadcast in partnership with the University of Brunei Darussalam’s radio station.

The Accel-X Venture Capital Fund was started in 2009 through a B$5 million (USD $3.7 million) investment from the Sultanate to Accel-X Pte Ltd which is a Singapore-based venture capital fund which invests in new and highly-scalable technology companies. This new capital fund aims to “support the development and expansion of promising Brunei Darussalam-based high-tech companies beyond Brunei Darussalam” with particular focus on young technology firms. In addition to equity capital, the fund provides mentorships and connections to overseas networks. The first company to receive funds was Infindo Technology, a firm which participated in the iCentre incubator

CAAYE is a network of young entrepreneurs and organizations established to “promote the cause of young entrepreneurs in our respective countries” and act as a “catalyst for economic growth, job creation, innovation, and societal change.” Alliance members include youth organizations from Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, Pakistan, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. CAAYE aims to create a network between member countries in order to promote mentorship, advisory services, provide information on finance and other resources. The network also aims to be an advocate for increased government support in the form of better policies, programs, and structures to promote youth entrepreneurship in the region.
